about Good Will society

'Maitri Samaaj' is the vernacular for Good Will Society

"The Tree of Life, seemingly dark but inherently life giving and good, combines the opposites that forever govern the human mind. Despite the suffering of life that masks the Tree, making it dark and ominous, it remains a symbol of hope , a symbol of the goodness of the human heart."

Good Will Society (Maitri Samaaj) is a social, spiritual and philosophical society founded upon a part and portion of Raju Ravitej’s Philosophy. That part and portion of his overall work is the Good Will Philosophy.

The aim of Good Will is to bring the world together in Good Will. With liberal ideologies after two destructive World Wars, aided by technological advancements, the world has gotten closer. It gave the peoples of the world an illusion of close togetherness and unity. However, when a cultures comes closer to distant and differing other cultures, one actually goes farther away. The links all prove to be superficial or false; for it is not in the links that connect us but in the thread that binds.

Good Will works with various sections of societies, with a special focus on young people, and creates educative experiences that are designed to last. This Good Will Society does essentially through educative work. Through teaching. Through Cross-cultural Expeditions, Exchanges, Workshops, Books and other materials, Conferences and other efforts using various educational methods.

“The human race can be bound only by the thread of good willing. And nothing else”, Raju Ravitej

The premise of Good Willing is that the only good thing there is in the world is a Good Will. Every action of man in the world is conditioned and conditional, except a Good Will. This premise is borrowed from Kant’s moral philosophy.

A Good Will, the goodness of the heart is the only good thing there is. Everything that is part of the human existence is conditional and contingent upon the human Will. The Will is our motive, is our heart. The Will can be good or bad. For good to happen in the world, the Will of the human must be good. Good happens only through the Will.
